Over 30 years inspiring teenagers and young adults with relevant messages of hope in the face of adversity and trauma
Positively Impacting Young Adults
Making a Relevant
and Sustainable Difference
A recipient of the prestigious National Education Award from the American Legion, Michael Peterson has been inspiring people, particularly teenagers who have lived through trauma and adversity, for nearly four decades.
Labeled a slow learner as a child, Michael never forgot what it was like to be ridiculed by his peers. After the murder of his Father and the suicide of his Step-Father, Michael struggled to believe his future could be better than his difficult past. One day in his early twenties, he was asked if he would share how he overcame these challenges with a group of High School students. The encouraging feedback from teachers and students that day led to more and more invitations for Michael to share his story. He never stopped.
For the past thirteen years, his program, “What’s Your Story?,” has inspired a diverse audience of teenagers to make measurable and lasting positive choices.
With suicide and opiate abuse among teens at a record high, Michael has never been more passionate about positively impacting young adults.
Michael’s experienced team helps schools engage their community and provides continuing education opportunities for teachers utilizing the nationally acclaimed health curriculum, Brain Thrive by 25.

What People Are Saying
“I truly enjoyed your program on Saturday evening. I know I’m just one person, but I must say as an adult looking at the program, I think community leadership is displaying extraordinarily strong and insightful strategic judgment in fielding a program such as this.
The message is positive, patriotic, hopeful and helpful, timely and timeless, strong and subtle.
Thanks for reminding all who were there that freedom; service, loyalty, and responsibility are contagious. Given half a chance, they will overpower oppression, selfishness, betrayal and apathy every time.”
— Managing Principal William A. Stephens,
Kestrel Horizons, LLC, Greenville, SC
“If you are a parent, school official or just someone who wants to help inspire the youth of America to shed negativity, this is a great opportunity. I just left the tour’s first stop in Knoxville, Tennessee as a renewed person.
It’s not brain surgery, just a wake up call. ‘Overcome obstacles, forget the past, declare the future, discover what’s REAL.’
Hopefully someone out there will read this, call to book Michael and maybe, just maybe, more kids will be inspired.
Compared to the influences governing our children’s lives these days, this is a great step.”
— Storme Warren,
Host of Country Music Across America
“The message is powerful because it is so important. The program is dynamic because it’s genuine. He spoke from the heart with a message that our kids need to hear.
Given the opportunity to have Michael back, I would do it in an instant. It’s that good. Our kids were truly engaged and after the program there were new relationships established.
The message from the tour came across loud and clear. Our choices matter. We are born to choose.”
